White Sox Shortstop Tim Anderson Suspended One Game For Calling A White Royals Pitcher N-Word

MLB has suspended White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson one game for his part in a scuffle that occurred Wednesday against the White Sox.

Anderson had homered the day before, and the Royals took offense to a bat flip he performed. During Wednesday’s game, Royals pitcher Brad Keller hit Anderson with a pitch in the 6th inning, which lead to a bench-clearing scuffle.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, ESPN investigated the scuffle and found that Anderson had called Keller a “weak-ass fucking N-word.”

Oh the irony.
